Hello and welcome to Fisherman’s Friend.

My name is Jack Phillips and I am a maker of custom fishing rods.
My business of rod making started as a hobby in 1991. The skills I have learned over the years have helped me produce quality crafted fishing rods for very special people.

I have built rods of various types – ultra lite, casting, Roberts Wrap ( spiral ), spinning, fly and blue water. Every effort is made to produce a well crafted fishing rod for your specific needs – a fishingrod that looks great – performs to the requirements specified and is ‘bullet proof’ in its construction – a custom fishing rod that will give you years of outstanding performance.
I have attended many rod crafting seminars throughout the southeast. I am a current member of the Custom Rod Crafters Guild, member of the Central Florida Rod Crafters as well as local fly club associations.
